HiStory Hospitality are seeking an exceptional Sous Chef to join the opening team of a new kitchen within a stunning country estate in Buckinghamshire.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a launch team, working in a premium countryside environment with a strong focus on seasonality, exceptional produce and the highest standards of culinary execution.
Sous Chef Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant or high-end hospitality environment.
- Strong technical cooking skills with a solid understanding of classical and modern techniques.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a kitchen brigade, ensuring consistently high standards across every service.
- Confident running the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, maintaining quality, consistency and smooth operations.
- Passion for seasonal British produce and produce-led cooking, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards, ensuring full compliance at all times.
- Experience in stock management, ordering, food cost control and minimising waste.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Calm and professional under pressure, leading by example during busy services.
- A collaborative approach, working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to create an outstanding dining experience.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
