Gwyn’s Bakery is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Weekend Barista to join our team!


Originally founded by Ben Lines, Gwyn’s Bakery is now owned and operated by Chef Tom Sellers’s restaurant group HiStory Hospitality.


HiStory Hospitality consists of two Michelin starred Restaurant Story in London Bridge, Story Cellar in Covent Garden and our events company Once Upon a Time.


Based in the Sussex market town of Horsham, located just an hour outside of London, this is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Barista to contribute to the weekend buzz of the bakery and to be part of an ever-growing restaurant group. Whether you're an experienced barista or someone with a love for coffee and great customer service, we’d love to hear from you!

Weekend Barista Requirements

  • Previous experience as a barista or in a café/hospitality role preferred
  • Confidence in preparing a range of coffee drinks to a high standard
  • A positive, hands-on attitude with great attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced weekend environment
  • To deliver exceptional customer service at all times
  • Warm, friendly and approachable personality with lots of energy!
  • Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday essential)
  • A passion for coffee, food, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
  • To build relationships with our Horsham community

Tom Sellers


Hailing from Nottingham, Tom Sellers is a two Michelin-starred Chef who opened his first restaurant, Restaurant Story, at 26. At launch, Tom’s unique approach garnered significant critical acclaim, being awarded a Michelin Star just five months after opening, with a second star following in 2021.


Tom learned his craft from some of the world’s most influential Chefs and spent time working alongside the likes of Tom Aikens in London, Thomas Keller at three Michelin-starred per se in New York, and René Redzepi at two Michelin-starred Noma in Copenhagen, all before the age of 21.


Story Cellar, a Parisian inspired rotisserie style restaurant opened in 2023 to much critical acclaim followed by Dovetale at 1 Hotel Mayfair, where the restaurant offers a sustainably minded, produce led à la carte menu of reimagined European classics, bolstered by dishes cooked over the grill, and an abundant raw bar.
