HiStory Hospitality are seeking a confident and personable Restaurant Host to join the opening team of a new restaurant within a stunning country estate in Buckinghamshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a launch team, acting as the first point of contact for guests and delivering a warm, polished welcome in a premium countryside environment with a strong focus on hospitality and guest experience.
Restaurant Host Requirements
- Friendly and professional Restaurant Host with experience in hospitality, restaurants or luxury hotel environments.
- A natural host who enjoys welcoming guests and creating a memorable first impression through attentive and genuine service.
- Experience managing reservations, guest flow and table allocation to ensure a smooth and well-paced service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests confidently and professionally.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy restaurant environment.
- Ability to work closely with the restaurant and kitchen teams to support seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of reservation systems and guest management platforms is advantageous.
- High attention to detail in guest experience, from greeting and seating to managing special occasions and guest preferences.
- Calm, confident and solutions-focused when managing busy services or guest requests.
- Professional presentation and a warm, welcoming approach to hospitality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required in a hospitality environment.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences.

Tom Sellers
Hailing from Nottingham, Tom Sellers is a two Michelin-starred Chef who opened his first restaurant, Restaurant Story, at 26. At launch, Tom’s unique approach garnered significant critical acclaim, being awarded a Michelin Star just five months after opening, with a second star following in 2021.
Tom learned his craft from some of the world’s most influential chefs and spent time working alongside the likes of Tom Aikens in London, Thomas Keller at three Michelin-starred Per Se in New York, and René Redzepi at two Michelin-starred Noma in Copenhagen, all before the age of 21.
Story Cellar, a Parisian-inspired rotisserie-style restaurant, opened in 2023 to much critical acclaim, followed by Dovetale at 1 Hotel Mayfair, where the restaurant offers a sustainably minded, produce-led à la carte menu of reimagined European classics, bolstered by dishes cooked over the grill and an abundant raw bar.
